Grand Dance Studio Students Become Finalists at Prestigious UK Open Dance Festival
Students from Grand Dance Studio, led by studio owners and head instructors Anton Pavlenko and Tatyana Vovkokhat, have returned from the United Kingdom Open Dance Festival 2026, held January 21–25 at the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) in Bournemouth, UK.
The UK Open Dance Festival is one of the most respected Ballroom and Latin events in the world, attracting elite competitors, rising stars, and thousands of spectators for several days of high-level competition. Across multiple divisions, age categories, and styles – including Ballroom, Latin, and Smooth programs – Grand Dance Studio students delivered powerful performances that drew attention from audiences and fellow professionals alike.
Grand Dance competitors secured numerous finalist placements and champion titles, underscoring the studio’s reputation for producing strong international-level dancers in Ballroom, Latin, and Smooth disciplines. Their success reflects years of disciplined training, as well as the technical expertise and artistic vision of Anton and Tatyana, who prepared students specifically for the demands of this iconic UK event.

“We are incredibly proud of how our students represented both our studio and Canada on such a significant international stage,” said the Grand Dance Studio leadership team. “Their results are exciting, but even more important is the professionalism, teamwork, and love for dance they showed throughout the festival.”
Detailed results, category breakdowns, and photo galleries from Bournemouth will be shared in upcoming posts on Grand Dance Studio’s website and social channels.
